The books themselves have yellowed spotted spines with random few red spots (? bleeding of slipcase) on front/back covers. The books appear to have never been read. There is an introductory essay by Thomas Mann.
Each is profusely illustrated with many full page colored drawings 8 in Vol 1 and 7 in Vol 2 as well as multiple smaller black/white drawings throughout. Item #3176
