New York: D. Appleton & Company, 1863. Ex-Library. Hard Cover. Dark brown covers faded to tan on the spine, as well as the top edge and spine of the front cover. The front cover has pulled away a bit from the binding. Corners are bent and worn. dewey decimal notation is painted on the spine. This is an ex-library volume with library card pocket pasted inside the rear cover and a pasted in sheet of the libraries "By-laws and Regulations".
The upper front corner of the preface page is missing a triangular piece, pages are yellowed and spotted in places. There is a bore hole about 1/4" deep into the outer edge. No sign of the intruder. Item #3357
