Sallust's History of the War Against Jugurtha and of the Conspiracy of Catiline.

Boston: Crocker & Brewster, 1852. Hard Cover. Black boards with a red highly decorative embossed spine.The title in gold lettering is bold and clear. The spine is worn with missing chips at the bottom, as well as a narrow strip missing from the top.Along the entire front seam at the spine there is a tear with a very thin piece of the red spine missing at the bottom 2". There is a similar tear at the rear top of spine down by about 2".
All corners are very slightly bent but not worn through. There is an inscription inside the front cover and a small stcker bearing a name and address of a prvious owner. There is spotting inside both covers and throughout the book.
Despite age and wear on the outside the book is intact and tight. Item #3661
